Octopus Viennas 🐙🌭

Option A (Easy for beginners😁)

1 pack of UVS Viennas

1 tbsp cooking oil

White sesame seeds

METHOD

1. Cut the Viennas in half, slice the lower part of the vienna in half, then in half again so that there are 4 cuts in the bottom (4 legs). Further cut those 4 legs into 8 legs.

2. Once you have cut the Viennas into “octopuses” heat some cooking oil in a pan and cook the Viennas on medium heat. When the Viennas are cooked through and the “legs” will start to open up, remove from the heat and serve or pack in the lunch box.

3. Lastly, add 2 sesame seeds on each for octopus eyes.

Option B (For those moms who are a bit more adventurous😅)

4 UVS Viennas cut in half

⅓ pancake mix

1 egg

½ cup milk

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

3 tbsp tomato sauce

1 hard-boiled egg

mayonnaise

black olives

1.Cut the hot dogs in half and make vertical slices in the round ends to create 6 octopus legs.

1.Whisk the pancake mix egg, milk, baking powder, and salt until smooth. Then mix in the tomato sauce

2.Dip the intact parts of the vienna in the batter and fry the entire octopuses in hot cooking oil. The cut ends of the hot dogs will start to spread out in the hot oil. If the octopuses' heads are too small after frying, dunk them back in the batter and fry them again until their heads are the right size.

3.For the finishing touch, use a straw to make circles from thin slices of egg and use some mayonnaise to attach the egg eyes to the octopus heads. Cut out pupils and mouths from the black olives to finish off the faces.
